Careful shopper: Great refrigerator...holds a lot
Pros: sleek sculpted appearance lots of space
This 28.5 cubic foot french door GE refrigerator with a pull-out freezer on the bottom works great. All fresh items are at eye level and the LED lights work great to light the space. There is a lot of horizontal space in this refrigerator! Some shelves slide back in half to accommodate larger items. Ice on the door works great. My husband says to use cubes rather than crushed ice so the icemaker doesn't break. It works.
The bottom freezer drawer holds a lot. It does require some organizing every so often as it has one chest and one smaller sliding drawer on top.
The outside appearance is sleek and rounded/curved. It looks great. Fingerprints are taken care of with Glass Plus. This is the best refrigerator we've owned.

Frost in freezer. Hopefully upcoming warranty work will fix the problem. Really like the frig layout.

Anonymous: Excellent French Door Fridge
The Climate Keeper system with dual evaporators does an excellent job -- produce in the fridge stays fresh much longer, and items in the freezer don't pick up any odors from the fridge. The result approaches what you'd get with a Sub-Zero. Of course, Sub-Zero are in a league of their own, but I'm unconvinced they're worth triple or quadruple the money. Also, this model is nearly identical to the Samsung RFG297AARS, and both are made in Korea. Perhaps the same factory?

Cools good,ice and water in door works well. Nice space but wish the ice maker didn't take up the room it does but it has to go somewhere. You'll learn to lay things down instead of standing them up on the shelves. It is rated high in Consumer Reports. Nice space in the frig and freezer and very convenient.

GE Profile PFSS9PKYSS refrigerator is outstanding. It cools great, runs quiet. It is exactly as advertised. I paid for the delivery guys to install the fridge. I have new, dark hardwood floors. Every little scratch shows. The delivery guys did an amazing job of installing it and it was right the first time - including ice maker hookup.
Be careful measuring the available opening. It is a big box. It fit my cabinet opening exactly.

Extreme Makeover in Kitchen: Organization Needed
Pros: looks great delivered in perfect condition
Cons: lacks organization and can't handle tall items
The fridge functions just fine and looks wonderful, but despite the adjustable shelves, lacks the ability to accommodate a large number of tall items. The freezer also needs some organization. It's a big free for all down there and you have to dig for stuff. I wish it came with a couple baskets or something.

We bought this after casting around for a French Door Fridge for a while. We were taken with the fact that the new insulation gave us MORE room in the same space. We have not regretted getting this fridge for a second. It is well worth it. We can fit so much in it, not just in the doors, but on the shelves too. Since we purchased it, we have had the top split shelf raised to accommodate large bottles, and still have not wanted for space. We read many reviews that questioned the function of the ice maker in similar models, but it has not been a problem. We use A LOT of ice, and have never had any kind of problem. I would recommend it.
